Delete your account and data

You can delete your Jakadi account and personal data at any time. This page explains how, exactly what is removed, and what is kept in anonymised form.

App: Jakadi · Developer: Magicabilides Uni LDA

Option 1 — delete it in the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.

  1. Open Jakadi and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Confirm when asked. The action cannot be undone, so you are asked once.

Option 2 — ask us by email

If you can no longer sign in — a lost device, a sign-in provider you no longer have access to — email contact@gruion.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my account".

We may ask one or two questions to confirm the request really comes from you, so that nobody can delete someone else's account. We act on verified requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

What is kept, anonymised

Jakadi is a shared record. Other people's plans depend on the dates the community has confirmed, and the history of how a date came to be trusted is what makes its confidence level meaningful. Removing confirmed dates when a contributor leaves would damage records other people rely on.

So your contributions stay, detached from you. They are re-attributed to "a former member": the content remains, your identity does not.

Item What happens
Date claims and confirmations you submitted Kept, attributed to "a former member"
Evidence and source links you provided Kept, attributed to "a former member"
Answers to community questions Kept, attributed to "a former member"
Traditions you created Kept — they belong to the community, not to one account
Photos you uploaded Removed on request; tell us in your email if you want them taken down as well
Your name, email, photo, follows and settings Deleted

Anonymised contributions can no longer be linked back to you, and we cannot restore them to you if you sign up again later.
